NOW OPEN! — The Southeast Anchor Library, the first new city library in 35 years will be opening May 2007 to serve the citizens of Baltimore. The 30,000 square foot library will be host to more than 80,000 volumes, a complete computer lab with wireless internet, a 150-seat auditorium, a café and a reading garden. The library will host author visits, musical concerts, lectures, movies and events for people of all ages.

The Friends of the Southeast Anchor Library (SEAL) have formed to help support activities and programs at the library. Come join us to help shape the library for your community! We need volunteers for a variety of activities from giving tours of the library to fundraising or baking cookies for children’s events. If you would like to join the Friends of SEAL, please click here to visit our Membership Information page.
